iPod Speaker Update

First of all, thanks to Engadget, Gizmodo, Make, Hacked Gadgets, and any of the other blogs that posted my iPod speaker on their blog.
A couple people on Engadget and Hacked Gadgets suggested covering up the display from the inside to make it look a little better. One person even suggested putting a music visualizer or album art. The music visualizer or album art would be awesome, but there’s just not enough space to get anything else in there. I did however cover up the display with a piece of paper as you can see above. You could also put an Apple logo there, or something else. Unfortunately, it looks kind of bad because it was hard to get the paper to lie flat with the clear plastic. It would be much easier, and would look much better if you did this before you did anything else. That way, you wouldn’t have to use pliers (like I did) to position the paper.
Also, I found a better switch at Sparkfun that is much smaller and would probably fit the hold button much better. The only downside is that it is that it’s SMD which is much harder to solder.
