The Great Internet Migratory Box Of Electronics Junk

A while ago, the people over at Evil Mad Scientists started a box where people could trade their electronics junk. If you haven’t heard about it before, here and here are great places to start.
Basically, it is a box that is filled with random electronics junk from other people. The box is then passed around from person to person. Each person is encouraged to contribute to the box if they take anything out. The idea was to help people who didn’t have their own pile of junk to make new projects with. After all, one man’s trash is another’s treasure.
One of the problems with this is that there aren’t enough boxes to go around to everybody who wants it. To help people get the box, a list was created where you can add your name and email. This way, if another person near you has the box, they can look on the list and choose who to send it out to next. However, your name can be on the list for years, possibly forever, until someone decides to send the box to you. To help get a box to as many people as possible, people can start up their own box. This why I’m starting a new box. It would be nice if this box could be kept in the New England area, however you can send the box to who ever. If you would like to receive the box, please leave a comment below with your email. Also, remember to put your name on the official list. If you receive the box, please email me pictures or at least a list of what you contributed so that I can post them in the gallery. Also, make sure to pass it on to someone who’ll send it off again. Don’t forget to update the tracking for it here (Box code: New England). If you don’t know anyone personally, send it off to someone on either of the lists.
